now this is a problem... there have been things in my life where I would definitely rather have lived in ignorance. And some things found out that I was very annoyed at not being told. so both would be my answer
But then how could you know if ignorance would be bliss or unforgivable until you are no longer in ignorance?
I'm going to go and get more coffee and ignore anything philosophical I think...
Depends really who's being ignorant, and about what. I believe it's forgiveable to keep kids in the dark about certain things so as to allow them to have a childhood. Innocence is a form of ignorance but it's one which is precious. However, wilful ignorance in adults is unforgivable - it's the 8th deadly sin in my book.
The only way to resolve the issue was a no-holds-barred internal conflict, pitching the forces of aestheticism and scholarship against those of depravity and ignorance. As host I was, according to tradition, given the honour of nominating their prospective champions: for the latter, a giant invisible leopard; for the former, a drugged postman tied to a chair. — Tim Moore, Continental Drifter

Ignorance is both bliss and unforgivable...I cannot choose one and say it is not, therefore, the other

had to choose bliss because it only becomes unforgivable when you are no longer in ignorance...

On this one, I'm not going to vote. Ignorance is... inevitable.
