According to this article in The Register, resourceful employers are starting to check for unwanted behaviour patterns online before employing people.

Now I don't use my name and certainly not my full name in my journal, like many of you. I do use pictures - but pictures are a lot harder to search on. What about email addresses? Googling for my email address doesn't seem to turn anything up, so that looks good.

A warning though, more reasons to keep online and offline lives separate!

This is why I'm so careful not to have ANY reference to my real name on my LJ.. and ask that others are just as careful on my behalf. I'm as sure as I can be that you can't find anything online that links KissyCat with the 'real' me.. but of course nothing is 100% certain. Scarey article.. :(
