But riding in the rain is fun!

(But then I learnt on a DT125R, which let's face it isn't that grippy on asphalt at the best of times - you learn to enjoy skidding or stop riding)

Hm yes well. Slipping and sliding around on my bike is somewhat more scary. It's so heavy that I would have huge difficulty controlling it if it went into a skid. I've had some close calls before now..

It's a good thing I have the Dragon GTS tyres on there. I'm used to them and they're very good in the wet as well as the dry.

When it started raining yesterday I took the bike home at lunch time. I was nervous as buggery and drove to the office yesterday afternoon and today...

I'm hoping that I haven't turned into a dry weather rider but I'm still a bit nervous about all that power...

:S

Yeah, I can see what you mean. Maybe time to consider having a bad-weather bike?

I don't have so much of a problem with power in the wet - as long as I'm going in a straight line. If I'm cornering I take it very easy and if I'm going slowly enough I use the clutch to lessen the impact of any bad throttle control.

Naah, like I said to [livejournal.com profile] stuartl I don't have a problem with riding in the wet.

I'm not a biker, but bikers have sometimes told me I drive like one. I think this was meant to be a compliment. (-8

Rain is worse after a long dry spell, of course - it lifts lots of slippery oils out of the tarmac. And with a 4-litre V8 driving the rear wheels without traction control, there's plenty of opportunity for "excitement"...
