Sucky autofocus on those, I'm afraid :/

I was hoping to use manual focus most of the time; maybe I'll get used to the way the autofocus works *shrug*. If not I can always sell it on as I got quite a good price on it anyway..

Manual focus on cameras of this type is as quick as any autofocus when you get used to it. :)

But I doubt the auto focus will be that bad. I expect it's just a little more dependant on light conditions than others *shrug*

Ok - with that proviso, it's quite a funky little camera. Watch out the position of the lightmeter (it's easy to put a finger over it) and the exposure compensation when you're using flash* - both were a bit tricky on the 5000, which is effectively the same model.

So what are you using nowadays? It was a toss-up between this and the G5 (which ev1ldonut is getting) which I could get for the same price, but I really wanted the built-in wide angle lens for taking reasonable full-height pictures of people inside without having to back off and trip over furniture or dig out and fiddle with a lens in order to do so...
