In a long round about way I came across this site. The bit that I found quite interesting that people may already know about is Ladder Theory. I think this could be useful for a few friends of mine on here.. (it's a bit exaggerated maybe, but I think the principle is fairly solid)

I'm currently working on the theory of male/female relationships that women are stupid, and if you ignore them then you normally get what you want in teh end, which is almost always the right solution to any problem.

It works incredibly well, and hence makes me an empiricist rather than a chauvenist ;)
