Turns of phrase

People seem to have used the phrases 'added charm' and 'adds character' to describe the lack of (flushing) toilet facilities at my recent party.

All I can say is - how strange! Nothing charming about a bowl full of unmentionables.

That's what the bucket was for... flushing all the 'unmentionables' away. :P

(I did pour about half a bottle of bleach down the upstairs one since nobody seemed to want to cart water upstairs... instant chemical toilet!)

How strange indeed. Where did they go if they needed the loo?

(a party without them sounds v. odd, what about those who drink too much? Was it an out the window job?)

Aaaah. I thought it smelt of bleach at one point but I didn't think anyone would have been so thoughtful so I remained rather confused.. for all of about 5 seconds after which I forgot all about it - thank you! *kiss* :)

I "flushed" it all through in the morning when I found all the buckets up there, it wasn't till then I realised anyone had even been in there! With the tap downstairs I figured everyone was using that.
