And then I spent a tiring 2 hours riding back home. And then some more time riding around showing it off *huge grin* :D

I don't normally care about motorbikes, but that is lush, really aesthetically pleasing! And it looks like you could put loads of stuff in those carrying-things (panniers? something like that?). Wow.

Motorbikes seem to = so much more independance than cars do, in my mind at least.

Panniers and top-box, yes. I don't actually think that's the best angle, it was the only one of the photos the seller emailed me that actually got through. I've actually had some ideas for photoing it, so watch this space!

I agree; I started by driving a car but it is a lot more invigorating (read: dangerous) to ride a nice bike :)

Alas, this is the older carburettor version, not the newer more powerful injection model. It's top speed is only 174mph. Not that I've got there.. yet. :)

My ideal bike is the CBR1100, just can't afford the insurnace yet. A few more years on the CBR600 and I will though.

You'll have a blast mate. Just one word of warning though. I'm not sure if this affects your model, but a friend of mine has one and has scraped the lower fairings on the road quite badly on a couple of occasions when trying to get his knee down. Seems Honda don't like you doing that on a Blackbird...

Yeah, it's a Blackbird. The indicators on the mirrors are a giveaway, as are the twin end cans and the over/under twin headlights.

I wasn't sure I'd like it either (this is the seller's photograph) but it's a lot more charismatic irl. The luggage is Kappa, btw. Oh, and it's an import, which the guy selling didn't seem to be aware of - so he was selling me what he thought was 30k miles, which was actually 30k kilometers. So I think I won lots with this one :) :)
