My eye!

Argh! My right eye is playing up! It seems to have suddenly deteriorated and got more short-sighted all of a sudden. I hope it's just temporary. I will see (hah) if it's fixed tomorrow.

Meanwhile this is a large annoyance.

Seiously though...
this happens sometimes when the eye is tired, the muscles around the lens sort of "go to sleep" and don't work properly. They usually sort themselves out quickly enough, especially after some rest. But you're right it is most frustrating while it's happening.

Well it has now I've been poking and breathing on it, yes.. no headaches though. And it appears to be a little better now, which is nice.

I have just got back from the opticians (as per a post I haven't started yet). Apparently there are no foreign bodies in there (which is good, I don't want immigration to arrest me) or scratches on the eye although the eye is "distressed" and the "tears are gooey". Yes. The optician used the word "gooey". She thinks it's either an allergic reaction to something which was blown into my eye and has since gone or a minor infection. Apparently I'm to give it to the end of the week and if it's still playing up make an appointment with the GP.

Good for you for going. Opticians are far better at deciding what's wrong (or not) with eyes than Doctors. Or at least, they're more likely to have fluorescing yellow dye to hand and the Stuff with which to peer appropriately :)
