My normal course of action is write a letter (wwww.iresign.com!) and fgive it in in the half hour or so bnefore boss leaves; then they eeffectively had v little time to confront me about it. (This time, i actually talked to my boss basically asking if tehre was anything to stay for and if not...). That way, you can write it down, laying out, clearly and opolitely, the resasons behind your leavnig, and counterpoint that with any particulaly good things. It would be entierly acceptable to say something like "As you are aware, I haven't felt that my current salary relects my value in the market place, and as a result, I am accepting a job more appropriate to my experience and expertise." These kinds of things always make more corporate impact and get said better by letter, I find.

Good luck, though!
