They found me a Vauxhall badge for the front of my Calibra, which I'm about to sell. I had to remove the paint from it, but they gave me a tin of acetone and a cloth and it came up great :)

Cost me a couple of quid :)

(I'm sure if Brussels heard about such a place where they hand out acetone to customers it'd get shut down amidst a flurry of legal, moral and perversity laws)...

Not exactly the same thing but I overheard tody in Homebase a lady asking for paraffin and being refused. Apparently you have to buy paraffin from licensed garages. She spotted someone buying something like paraffin but the customer explained it was kerosene. She immediately asked

"Are you a juggler?"

Er, isn't kerosene dangerous to juggle with due to its low viscosity?

I think that was the point, the customer saying "no that's kerosene" and the staff saying "are you a juggler?"

But kerosene isn't really any more dangerous that parrafin, provided you are in an open area with no flammable stuff nearby (as it will spray about a bit more!) Makes for lots of the pretty flying flame bits though. ;)
