Fun :)

Last night cavu came round and we started his Anglicisation :) We watched Eddie Izzard, Mr. Bean, Blackadder and Fawlty Towers. He also found eating eggy bread (french toast) with tomato ketchup very odd.. apparently normally Americans have maple syrup on it!

We will have to get him to watch a few other classics, some carry on films and perhaps some soaps (god I'm going to hate that). Anyway, it's his leaving do tonight so that should be fun :)

kissycat1000 came over for lunch. We went and played pool for a bit first which was a laugh, then cavu met us and after thoroughly beating him at pool we went off to the pub I'd told kissycat1000 about and we had HUGE but delicious meals :)

eggy bread can only be eaten with ketchup!!! bad news babe, no ozzy at ozfest! maybe coal chamber, korn or iron maiden instead, no slayer either. Hannah

As a result of my 'Anglicisation :)' I've come to appreciate that you English have a more refined sense of humor than most of us Yanks (rather more 'liberal', too!), but when it comes to the soaps, I wonder who's gonna' hate it more! LOL..

Hannah's observation notwithstanding, I still find eggy bread with catsup rather odd, but I've learned I really like bacon sandwiches, so who knows..?

And the 'It's-been-great!-Sorry-to-see-you-leave!-You-still-here?!' do was great.. but, we'll try to be quiet around friend azekeil this morning, if he ever shows up.. (he REALLY enjoyed himself last night!).. RIGHT BUDDY??!!!

p.s. as regards being 'thoroughly' beaten at pool by aforementioned 'friend'..., you have to have been there to appreciate how distracting kissycat1000 trying to distract azekeil can be..!!

LOL!! I made it in... eventually. It did take a monumental effort to convince myself to get out of bed, but I think I drank plenty of water last night; woke up with a little hangover and cleared the rest of it away with more water. Not bad, considering I think I had about 4 pints and most of a bottle of wine...

YOU found it distracting? What about ME?!? Mind you you should have seen what she did the other time ;) People passing outside got an eyefull too! It did take me a couple of minutes to recover but I made the shot ;) I think it just makes me more determined to win ;)
