azekeilI've just realised that it would have actually saved me money if I got a builder in to finish off my master bedroom - the way it would have done that is if I could rent out my other room sooner than if I were doing the work myself, such that the rent from the time period I missed would more than cover the building work. Plus of course the work would be done earlier. And by a professional. And not me. Damn. Wish I'd realised that all sooner.
As it is I have the next couple of weekends planned to work on the room which will hopefully get it in a position to get the plasterers in before decorating. I think I should sit down and work out if it might still be worthwhile getting a builder in.
