After the whole upheaval of moving ev1ldonut to Cheltenham things are beginning to settle down. New routines, while not firmly established yet, are certainly making headway against old habits.

The house is becoming a regular hub of social activity, which is generally excellent. We have lots of most excellent local friends, as well as most excellent not so local friends who we really don't see enough of.

I'm just generally really happy with the way things are turning out :)

Speaking of which, Poker night at our place tomorrow evening from 8pm, people?

Getting there - or at least it is at the moment :) Change is always difficult, well I find it so anyway, takes me a while to get used to things even if it's a direction I want to go in :) I found sharing my home with someone again very tricky to start with, but it's ok now...other than the things woman always moan about, apparently :D

Errr...

Pretty much the same as yours I suspect - 7 card Texas Hold-em, a pound at the start and finish at a defined time when we cash out. No buying extra chips.

Is that about it?

I'm really glad you're starting to feel more positive about things! *big hug* Would love to come for poker, but unfortunately will be stuck in college for most of the evening. Woe.

I may change my mind on this if I may...? I probably won't get there till 9.30pm, but it depends on how quickly my law lecturer gets through the material; I may be earlier. Company always good, and even if I don't know how to play poker at the start of the evening, I'm sure I'll come away with a rudimentary knowledge..? :)

And even if not, watching other people play works for me too!

Yeah, by all means. I guess we'll have to find out at the time if people are happy for you to join in that far through the proceedings, but if not like you say you can observe. Just no giving the game away to the other players!

Like I said, it depends on my law lecturer. Sometimes she lets us out early, so I may even be there an hour ahead of advertised time, but I'm a bit out of the driving seat on that one. I'm happy to watch though, if it causes problems, and shall keep my lips ultra-sealed as to what everyone has in their hands!
