So the test results have come back - it's not glandular fever, so it's most likely nasty tonsilitus. Well that's a relief anyway. Time for some more R&R.
That's fortunate, but tonsilitis can still be pretty nasty. I remember getting it once when I was a student, the doc looked down my throat and the first thing he said was "I can't actually see how you're managing to breathe, but you're still walking, so I won't admit you to hospital."
Hmm... A reaction guaranteed to inspire you with confidence.
Then again, when I was a pharmacy tech I remember having to look at pictures of suppurating tonsils, not very pleasant to say the least. (Almost as disturbing as 'The ABC of Colorectal Diseases'.)
Tonsilitis can be pretty nasty, yeah. Back in 1995, it was the reason for the only time I've ever asked a doctor for a house call. It wiped me out completely for a week and a half, and I was still a little out of sorts two months later.
That's good i suppose! I'm bored with R and R, so i went back to school today. Am tired now but still planning on meeting some friends tonight if i can! Get well soon :)
