Eh? We have Surfcontrol at work which is where I am typing from now! It's a bit of a bummer when I am googling but doesn't really impact otherwise and it's never touched LJ.

Perhaps you can work from the inside to assist others to have access? If the Authority is set to bring it into being they may be little you can do to stop it, but alot you can do subtly to hamper it...
