Beast is fixed! I swapped out the graphics card, rewired some power connectors which I suspect were contributing to the interrupt problems and booted off a Debian CD and fixed the filesystem. Then I upgraded a load of software on it. Now I'm just trying to get the damn fdmf requisites to install properly and I'll have an automated duplicate MP3 finder (works by examining the uncompressed versions of any music files you have lying around and listing similar-sounding files..)
squeeza popped round unexpectedly in the middle of all this but unfortunately I was fairly tired and stuff. Need a good night's sleep :/ I'll go to bed soon.

Date: 2005-04-20 10:27 pm (UTC)Oh, and I came across something you helped wrote recently. Now what was it? Oh yes - SRS. Haven't got around to implementing it yet, think I have some reservations at the moment.

Date: 2005-04-21 12:01 am (UTC)SPF means "Shortest Path First" to me. But I can't find any way in which I can get SPF to be used in the same sentence as PKI. And then there's SRS. Which is used in cars.
So I conclude that I'm misinterpreting at least one of the acronyms. Probably two, and maybe even three.
