There will be games happening at mine this coming Sunday at about 2pm, after an optional pub lunch in The Norwood Arms (directions below) at 12 noon. Anyone who wants to come please comment below; if you can bring games then do so! It's for fun; there will be children there, smoking outside.

To get to the Norwood Arms: M5 J11a - take the A417 towards Cirencester. After ~1 mile turn off (left) on the A46 towards Cheltenham. The pub is on the right just before the second (apparently it could be as many as four; it appears to be two on the map) roundabout (~4 miles). The roundabout with the pub on joins the A46 (Shurdington Road) to Leckhampton Road.

Hope to see a few of you there!

UPDATE: Map link here - the pub is where the arrow is.

*sob* I shall miss it :( And it sounds all roleplayery and geeky too. Bah!

Have fun! :)

Traipsing around Paris! *sulk* Gaming sounds like much more fun than tramping up the boring old Tour d'Eiffel.

*grin* You could take a d20 and roll it to work out your actions in every situation :)

*crestfallen* I used to have loads but I left them lying around and they got nicked. Now I just have what I need and no more. Woe, my poor dice collection! :/

I kinda collect 'em. Next time I'm in London I'll probably pop into Orc's Nest and could pick you up a set or two if you want? They're only about four squid per set, but I won't be making it down until late July/August. Alternatively, if you look on the net and fancy spending 60 squid, there's a set of amethyst dice I honestly have and still do spend hours drooling over, and they have purrrty onyx ones too... <./roleplayer> :)

Orc's Nest? I'll google for that one.

Sounds very cool (in a roleplayery kind of way!)

Just round the corner from Cambridge Circus (where they used to show Les Mis, on Charing Cross Road betwen leicester square and tottenham court road); stand with back to theatre, cross junction, start down main road take first right, on your right.

Used to do a few board games (I got RoboRally there) but not many; better for board games is Playing Games near the British Museum. Orc's Nest is primarily wargaming type figures followed by RPGs.

Have you checked the "Random dice bowl of doom" at John's place? I know about fifteen of mine are there. I have about 45 standard d10's (included the "house dice" at John's) a shed load of d6's and smattering of "D&D" sets and a special collection which includes my "D&D" Haematite set... Mmmm... Dice...

Are you in need of a donation/acquisition? I could probably grab you some next time I am RP shopping if you like?

That sounds like mine and Rodney's idea of a fantastic afternoon. We LOVE games.
Its a shame it takes so long to get there and back...
I shall suggest it to him when he gets back from Barcelona.
Any idea what games there will be?

Cheltenham isn't so far from Reading.. oh, unless you're in Ha.. London somewhere.

Well - I'm sure there will be Settlers of Catan, Munchkin, Carcasonne, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Return of the Heroes etc :)

Hope you guys can make it! :)

I have Munchkin + Unnatural Axe, Space Munchkin, Munchkin Fu, Munchkin Bites and Munchkin Blender (just to really hammer the point home!) as well as several other card games (Lunch Money, Creatures and Cultists, Zombies 1, 2, 3 & 4 etc) which are at your disposal sir.

I asked the wife and she would be happy to come along for a bit.

Cool! Bring 'em along - it'd be interesting to see how the other Munchkin packs play, plus the more games the better :)

Fair enough. I'll see you on the weekend then. :-)

You just need to add 'Clerical Errors' and your Munchkin will be complete! (I think so, anyway...)

It's on order, but I also need "Star Munchkin 2: Clown Wars" to finish everything off. Both that and "Clerical Errors" are just expansion sets though.

I think it's you that [livejournal.com profile] azekeil wants to invite to my games weekend (first weekend in July) in Tadley (10 mins north of Basingstoke). I'll add you to my friends list so you can see the invite (as my lj is friends locked, so you don't wonder who the heck this random person is who's friended you, and so you know that the invite is specifically also directed in your er .. direction.)

You can't let children smoke, even if they are outside!

Sounds fun, but I think I'm busy. Pah. Oh, and sorry I missed the party on Sunday, was unavoidably detained.

They smoke perfectly well if you use lighter fluid. :P

Come to lunch! You know you want to...

What games in particular do you want me to bring apart from the borrowed Return of the Heroes? Since it seems I'm not letting off rockets and thus will be playing games!

Cool!

The Settlers stuff and Carcasonne, Pitch car might be good for a bit of light relief, from there whatever you particularly fancy / can be arsed to bring really..?

I'd like to make it along, but I'm very busy this weekend, and may end up going to a picnic in Cambridge instead. Watch this space…
