I can't find my degree certificate for my interview tomorrow at 5pm! ARGH! And I haven't yet managed to get hold of an old friend who would make a fantastic referee. Incidentally I found myself using my current company's phone to call my old company to find out the details of an employee for a reference for the application for my new job. Much amusement.

I start work at 7:30am tomorrow morning, then at 4pm I leave, change into my suit and drive to the interview. Then I'm supposed to be roleplaying from 8pm until 11pm, then up again at 7:30am the next morning! Hmmm. I think tomorrow is going to kill me.

Good luck.

You may find they're not that bothered about the degree certificate. If they're insistent or sound like they definitely need it just say that you've moved since you last saw it and can't find it at the moment. See what they say but chances are they won't be bothered enough to get you to get a copy or owt...

Indeed. Asking someone to prove they have the degree they claimed is something normally only done when desperately hoping for an excuse to sack them. (-8

I think my degree certificates, A-levels, O-levels and birth certificate are all lurking in a dusty folder at the back of my filing cabinet. But I've not needed the birth certificate since I got my first passport, nor my A-level certificates since matriculating to university, my O-level certificates since temping aged seventeen, or my degree certificate ever. So I guess the last time I checked the folder wasn't empty was when depositing my MA certificate in a decade ago.

Hmm.

Were you expecting the degree to be vocational?

If not, were you expecting it to be enjoyable?

If not, er… why did you do it? (-8

I just saw mine as a piece of paper to get a reasonable job. Still, it was fun while I was doing it (the bits where I didn't have to work, that is) :)

Good luck! And like others have said, don't worry too much about the degree certificate - it'll turn up, and if you have more than a few years' experience most places won't care what your degree result was anyway. In any case, if you can't find it, you can always ask them to write to your university to confirm the result..?
