Okay. This is something that's interested me for a while. Obviously it's about your innermost thoughts, so if you're uncomfortable putting your name to them (for the world to see), I'd be really grateful if you would go to the effort of leaving an anonymous comment with your answers. Same goes for any discussion. I'm not interested in victimisation, more the rationalé behind what you think and how it makes you feel.

When (if) you fill out the poll, please feel free to leave questions that make you uncomfortable (or comment anonymously if you want), but always answer with the least number of options that express your views where possible. If everyone ticks everything then it won't really make much sense, I feel.

Oh, just a thought, to avoid confusion, it might make sense (and be fun) if you signed any anonymous comments with a unique pen name, so we know which comments are from the same person...

Can I ask, when you say 'intentionally hurting' do you mean in a consensual sadomasochistic sense? Is that included in that or does that come under the banner of consensual sex (under the terms of your poll)?

Sorry, I should have made that clear at the time. I mean in a non-consensual (argh thanks I've just realised I've misspelt consensual throughout!) way. It may still be sadistic though.

My idea behind the 'select the minimum needed to express your views' was to reduce and clarify the views of the person such that if your view can is included in multiple selections, but one expresses it more clearly than the others, then just that one should be selected.

I think most of my answers where pretty straightforward. The only area where I think explination is needed is on the 'harming physicaly' because you hadn't allowed for a consentual/non-consentual split.

I've only had one partner who was into recieving pain, but it was enough to mean it crops up (Pun intended *g*) in fantasys and is a turn on.

However, there is a non-sexual interpritation of that question too and where some bloke crosses me badly enough, sure enough if I can't do anything about it physicaly that too plays out in my mind and has been covered in my answers.

Ah, OK well in that case it would only be the non-sexual anger based one... sexualy, what turned me on with her wasn't the giving of pain itself (Though the Dom side of me did enjoy the situation/'game') but rather how much that she responded to it.

But seriously, my brain just needs something to occupy itself with all the time. I may think about having sex with someone or punching them around the face but I'm just as likely to be thinking about playing them a song they'd really hate or, indeed, offering to do their gardening or what they'd be like when confronted with seahorses. I just, as Willow would put it, have too many thoughts. :)

If I'm imagining having non-consensual sex with someone it's usually because of something unsettling they've done, rather than any fantasy-related desire.

Your last comment about non-consensual sex - would it be fair to say that is more a passing fear that's popped into your head that you dismiss, or something you think about in detail to rationalise your fear? Or something else?

It's less a 'passing fear that I dismiss', more one that slams into my head like a screeching freight train and then flies around in there like a particularly distressed bat in a box for a while. I can't dismiss it. It tends only to happen with people I take an immediate frightened dislike to, and there aren't many of those. I try not to think about it at all, except in the case of one particular bastard, where I feel I have to think it all through so that next time, I can avoid it really happening.

You know me, though, feel free to ask about anything you want, always. :)
