Where's my f$%#ing passport?

Argh! I looked in my house last night - the only thing I didn't do was go through old loft stuff as I really doubt it could be there. I'm guessing it might be at kissycat1000's, which doesn't bode well :(

I will probably need it for next Wednesday, but the stuff I have to do to get another one in that time I can't really do :/

I lost mine once. Had to go the the passport office in Newport (?) and get a replacement. They do it same day (within the hour I believe) - there's often a bit of a queue though so get there early :)

Yes, it's Newport for me too. However, I don't have the time to do it! I know I can get someone to go in my stead, but that's a bit of an ask. Plus, because I've lost it, it's down to the passport office' discretion as to whether they will give me the same day service or not. Apparently a letter from my company stating how urgent the travel is should help. It all sounds a bit.. not happening to me. Still, there are others going who will be able to assess the stuff anyway, so it may not be a big loss. Just bloody irritating and stuff.

If it's lost then no, they wont give you the same day service. I looked into it a while back. The service at newport is by appointment only and just for simple renewals. If its lost there is an extra form you have to fill in you can get from the post office. If you use the post offices passport checking service (for which you need your birth certificate even tho it says you dont on the form) you should have a pasport within 2 weeks.
