Anyone wondering why Bristol/Chelt/Bath TeleWest customers suffered loss of service to broadband and television services yesterday should click here.

And the conclusion to draw from this? Football is obviously the root of all evil ;)

That must have been an inside job ... surely?

How would anyome know where to find these cables? You don't just accidentally stumble across the main Telewest feed to 100,000 homes do you? Even a regional Telewest box on the end of a street shouldn't effect that many houses ...

*smug grin - being a satellite fan*

What's this? Oh it's a mild atmospheric disturbance, good job we don't rely on sattelite or we'd have lost quality, or even lost the signal altogether!"

*grin*

This was a freak occurance and I'd rather have the reliability of a fixed cable feed any day. ;) It does seem like someone with inside knowledge doesn't it? Perhaps someone with a grudge? Like a sattelite subscriber who bribed a Telewest employee maybe? *eyes you suspiciously*

Hehe ... the geek in me just likes satellite cos it's... magic :)

Plus, you can swing the dish a few degrees and pick up *decent* TV (ie, German Viva Zwei etc).

But hey, the Telewest outage wasn't anything to do with me! *hides industrial grade wire cutters with suspicious looking scorched marks on the blades* ... *whistles*

So glad I stayed at my parents in Tintagel to watch the game.
