Sep. 6th, 2006 10:23 amGods I am tired. I was up until 2am last night attempting to bash my newly installed server into some sort of familiar shape. I've now got it routing, emailing, calendaring and web proxying - but a lot of these are just thrown together, so I'm going to have to go round and tighten all the nuts and bolts, and figure out how these newer and different programs are configured.
I still need to set up public keys, DNS, DHCP, WOL, squid proxying, VMWare, BitTorrent, backups (both from and to).
In other news I now have 31 DLT IV tapes and a cleaning tape, and some replacement brake discs for my bike.. wonder what I'll be doing tonight?

Date: 2006-09-06 09:47 am (UTC)I think I'm going to put the centre stand back on temporarily and ask you to sit on the back, so the front is off the floor. It shouldn't take long as I expect to have loosened the disc nuts before I take the wheel off...
Then I just have to see if the battery has died completely (the charger wouldn't charge it, but the indicator flash seemed as bright as ever - but it could just be a loose lead somewhere).
