Okay, now it starts to get interesting.
Jul. 23rd, 2007 11:32 pmThe water went off at 7:30pm this evening - I'm assuming this is Cheltenham-wide. Here's the official police press conference report at 3pm today. The BBC think that the highest waters and therefore greatest threat to Walham power station will be sometime between now and tomorrow morning. If power does go out, it may take up to 5 days to get the station operational again, although contingency plans are being formed.
No news from work; I will need to go in and get my laptop as I can't really work effectively without it. I'll be doing that on my motorbike so I won't get stuck.
It's all getting a bit interesting, but waking up tomorrow we will probably know whether the power is going to disappear too.

Date: 2007-07-24 09:11 am (UTC)I don't see why not - although bringing lots of water (and some milk as the shops here have gone nuts apparently) with you would be really useful so I don't drain my own supplies providing everyone with tea and coffee...
