Heh, yeah. Went to bed at 8:20pm. Woke up at 1:15am. Eventually realised I wasn't getting back to sleep at 2:35am; spodded until about 4:30am. Eventually got back to sleep around 5am just as I heard you wake up and start pottering around.
I have a sore throat and feel rather sleepy. *sigh*.
Yeah, I was rather surprised when you went to bed. You shouldn't go to bed so early you know, even if you're tired. It'll do your sleeping pattern no good at all. :/
Oh, and Quagmire was on when I came down this morning. I guess it did its current trick of switching itself back on shortly after you shut it down. Funnily enough, that behaviour is exactly what my desktop does when I try to get it to go to standby. Maybe the OS is getting the wrong instruction from the GUI shutdown button? We could try shutting it down using the command line a few times, see if that works how it's supposed to maybe?
I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open and I had a sore throat. I knew it wasn't great but I didn't really have a lot of choice.
Damnit. I did actually shut it down, but while I was awake I wanted to copy some series off it to watch upstairs. I shut it down remotely using the power control web page and it seemed to time out with ping. Perhaps I just didn't wait long enough. Aah well.
I might try to see if there's a motherboard chipset driver update, or whether fiddling with power options in the BIOS has any effect.
