Yes, it's central, but due to the fact it's only just been done and the bar is longer than it needs to be to allow for swelling, the whole bar is at a slight diagonal angle. This makes the top ball lean to one side, which is why it appears to be non-central.

And I'm sure you can guess who's tongue it is? THere are few reasons for posting these photos in a journal if they don't relate to the writer..?

I did wonder about those possibilities myself, but it's really hard to say with just a piccy to look at! Now you've mentioned it I remember my own bar not looking quite right until the swelling went down and a smaller bar was fitted.

The next question is when did [livejournal.com profile] azekeil have it done and where? I'm assuming it was done in Bristol?

Yes, there's a brilliant place here, very close, where I got my navel re-done. I was far more impressed with this place (Tattootime) than I was with Mantra in Cheltenham. The studio is large and well lit, with a good range of sterile jewellery to choose from, an experienced piercer, and very professionl. They marked the hole out before piercing (my navel) and it's actually straight and is the right size, rather than crooked and too long like the one done at Mantra. So I'm confident that [livejournal.com profile] azekeil's will turn out great. Also, [livejournal.com profile] goddesssnoweh had her tongue piercing and her tattoo done there too, both of which are really good jobs. :)

You may need to take me to this place when I decide to get my belly redone then, lol! It won't be til after the wedding now, but I've lost enough weight recently to be confident that it will look fantastic!

And I soooooo love that blackline jewellery you have, I definatly need at least one more hole to put some of that in *GRIN*

Thanx!!! Obviously will give you petrol money for the trip!

Actually may use my birthday money to get it done... will they let me wear a bar right away? I can't have a ring in my job.

Yes, they'll pierce it with a bar, and look at mine for proof that it CAN be done that way and stay straight, contrary to what a certain piercer may have told you.. :)

There's a possibilty that I'll be going there the weekend [livejournal.com profile] tatsdixon is visiting (9th December), but otherwise my weekends are fully booked right up until after Christmas. The 9th of December is yet to be properly organised, but as [livejournal.com profile] azekeil lives in Bristol anyway, it's likely that [livejournal.com profile] tatsdoxon, [livejournal.com profile] stuartl and I will be going there Saturday sometime, meeting [livejournal.com profile] azekeil, and possibly shopping etc while we're there. Unless [livejournal.com profile] stuartl decides he can bear to be driven in the Escort, then we'll be going in his 206, so you'll have to ask him if he's happy to pick you up before we leave.

This is by no means a definite plan though. If it comes down to it, it may well be cheaper overall for you to get a return ticket to Bristol Temple Meads station, and grab a taxi from there, it's quite close. Or if you do that on a weekend when I'm planning to be in Bristol anyway, I could collect you from the station. Train tickets are often cheaper than buying petrol. :)

actually i had my tattoo done at Skin Deep. TattooTime is great for piercing, but you have to think about the artists skills when you are after a tattoo. I've seen some of their work and it's basically just second rate. Now i don't know about you, but i don't want a second rate tattoo on my body for the rest of my life.

Which is why I'd only ever get a tattoo done at Mantra in Cheltenham, as their artists are excellent. Bob in particular has won multiple awards. Richard who does the piercing is a new addition, basically someone who is renting space there, and as such I'd go to Tattootime for piercings, but Mantra for tattoos. :)

the point to that post was, that you said i had my tattoo done in tattootime, which simply isn't true
