Well that kinda sucked. I turned up to the pub last night and it was closed for refurbishment!

Oh, and I tried to stick to the speed limit. I thought I was going to fall off I was going so slowly!

Don't really feel like doing web work now. Got more important things like LIFE to enjoy :D

That's funny, I did that last night too - stuck to the speed limit that is, for one whole journey - just to see how odd it felt. Bloody odd. I was in my SRi, and even at Milton Keynes speed limits (60 and 70 roads all through our town) it still felt a bit weird... and as for the 30 limits through the shopping centre area, I might as well have put it in reverse for all the progress I felt like I was making!

Why's that, have you got a one litre hatchback or something?

Not exactly. My car isn't anything exciting, but I do have a decent (IMO) motorcycle. It's very hard to maintain the self control necessary to keep that within the speed limits. I refuse to break any specified speed limits but on the bike I'm a bit more flexible with the 'national' speed limit. The car never (to all intents and purposes) breaks the speed limit by so much as 1mph.

A friend of mine worked out that on his trials bike he could actually jump those at about 40mph  :)

You'd be amazed how many RAF types used to use Milton Keynes for simulated bombing practice - it seemed to be close to the most popular place in the UK to be wiped off the face of the universe.
