I've just convinced my managers the project I'm working on is a red herring, and we've agreed to halt it for now, pending review by people from "products", whatever they are.

In other news, I had customer service. I am to receive some replacement parts free of charge for a heatsink. Woohoo! :)

I think I've decided to try and melt the solder and simply bend it enough out of alignment to allow the heatsink to sit properly.

Once that is the case of course I'll return your TI HSF :)

Is that Ben's old kit? I'll be interested to see how it turns out :)

Yep it's Ben's old stuff, it requires some more 8/1 tubing and water, but that's all that's stopping me. GL with the soldering iron :)

I wonder if u could kill someone by thermal bonding 30 HSF's to em and letting em rip :) Would that be sufficient to lower their core temperature? Answers on a postcard plz :P
