[livejournal.com profile] kissycat1000:   (After making me shave properly - wash face, proper shaving gel, taking time, pat dry, proper aftershave balm) - See? Wasn't that better? That's what you should be doing every day.
[livejournal.com profile] azekeil:Well I'm the sort of person that wants to roll out of bed and be in work before I wake up and realise what's happening.
[livejournal.com profile] kissycat1000:But look how nice your skin is now! No rash, and no stubble. Baby soft smooth skin.
[livejournal.com profile] azekeil:But I go into work to use my brain, and I don't need to shave my brain! If I were a model I could understand it, but I'm not.

Shaving sucks.

I hate it.

I have to shave twice, count 'em, TWICE a day if I want to stay anywhere near smooth.

Give it up! I shave about twice a week, if she's lucky ;)

Hm. I looked at your comment, looked at my post, and realised that it was not an unreasonable conclusion to draw. However, I don't see the lapse in logic in my post either. Therefore I am now very scared of male models.

I think the problem is with the notion that models can understand things. (Hides from any models present.)

I had that *exact* same conversation with Tom a few days ago. He gets a bit of a break as the beard prevents me suffering his stubble at least... but kitty's right.... some men just don't understand skin care.

Isn't is amazing what results you can get when you bother to wash your face first? Yes, I know it's blindingly obvious and you shouldn't need to be told, and I remember that I had to teach you to wash your long hair properly too after we first met, so I'm not at all surprised...

Are there some magic tips you should be sharing more generally, here? (-8

Wet hair. Put Right Amount Of Shampoo onto your hand. Rub hands together to spead Right Amount Of Shampoo onto both palms. Use palms of hands to spread Right Amount Of Shampoo over hair, concentrating on scalp and rubbing shampoo evenly over head. When shampoo has been spread evenly over scalp area, rub scalp with fingertips and distribute shampoo down length of hair. Rinse.

Apply conditioner with both palms, applying to ends of hair first and then spreading to scalp. Rinse thoroughly, finishing with a rinse with cool water to close hair shaft. Squeeze rather than rub dry.

Hmm. I use combined shampoo and conditioner. Which may be part of the problem. (-8

I let my hair dry naturally, rather than squeezing or rubbing. That, at least, I would hope is OK?

Shaving your brain! Dude!

I like Chris when he has very long stubble, he looks too young shaven and short stubble hurts. I don't dig beards.

My advice to Chris is usually "shave once every month". For important things I do it for him.
