So this morning I planned to take my bike to get its (late) MOT. Except.. I can't find my keys. I have a sneaking suspicion they dropped out at [livejournal.com profile] chocojon's house over the weekend. At any rate I ended up walking for 3 miles to pick up my car that I'd left close to the bike shop last night in preparation for driving to work this morning after dropping my bike off.

I'm really looking forwards to the Easter weekend, where I plan to mostly bum around relaxing.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] chocojon's just found my keys. Phew.

Cool, well let me know :)

I think you want the Day/Next Day return for £14 from the Oxford Espress..

Heh..probably cheaper to get the train into oxford, as i would have to go into london to get the bus.
I am certainly very interested. When would this be?

Well I'm thinking probably Friday, but my bike is in for it's MOT today, so hold off until after midday when I'll know whether it's going to be road legal on Friday or not :)

Right, bike's passed the MOT without any problems (win!), so if you wanted to get a coach/train to Oxford on Friday, you're more than welcome to stay if you wish. I can pick you up and drop you back from Oxford on the bike. Do you have a helmet and leathers, or do you want me to bring my spare small helmet and my spare (rather awfully big and old but warm) leathers and some spare gloves? I don't know if you've been on a bike before but you'll need to wear sensible shoes and some tough warm trousers, like jeans.

I'll have a top box which can hold something the volume that two helmets placed side to side take up - let me know if you want to bring more than that and I can fit panniers. You can get food and drink locally to save carting it around :)

If you could arrive in Oxford no later than 1pm, to allow us time to get back and set up for light-up time at 3pm that would be great :)

Let me know what you want to do...

Yay! :). I have a helmet and leathers. Would be grateful for borrowing of gloves though, as mine were nicked a while ago.
Will probably be bringing a small rucksack (enough to fit a sleeping bag).
I'll probably be getting there about 12.47.

Sweet. I'll aim to get there for that time then. I've just emailed you my number to your LJ address.. let me know if you got it OK :)

Don't worry too much about a sleeping bag, we have enough bedding :) I'll bring gloves and a scarf of some description.

So, the train station yes?

In the event the weather's shocking, I've got my car and I'll drive up instead. Not nearly so much fun, but a lot less wet...
